UN Arabic Language Day

Learn to pronounce some basic vocabulary in Arabic.

UN Arabic Language Day is celebrated annually on December 18, after being established by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2010 in order "to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity as well as to promote equal use of all six of its official working languages throughout the organization". That day was chosen as the date for the Arabic language as it is "the day in 1973 when the General Assembly approved Arabic as an official UN language ".

In order to celebrate this day, we would like to attract interest in this language by offering some basic vocabulary that could be helpful for those who start learning Arabic.
